Much is celebrated in literature about the joys of owning your own home, the bringing of life to a thing of bricks and mortar and stamping your own personality on it.  This has not changed since Padraic Colum wrote his poem circa 1890.  We all dream of creating an oasis of calm and beauty out of an empty shell where we can happily spend our time. Whereas previously the tourist season was mainly May to September, it has now grown and apartments and holiday villas have found the season to be busy from March to October for the sun seekers, and from November to May for the golfers – an all year round market.  The new builds are built in a very modern design making the most of the natural sunlight and finished to a very high specification.  With a choice of excellent international schools in the area, fantastic sporting amenities and an elevated lifestyle, Orihuela Costa is luring many families to settle here permanently, and indeed you would find it very difficult to meet anyone who moved here to express any regrets.
